RESULTS FROM UPPER NORTH ISLAND SECONDARY SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT (UNISS)
Schools from Counties Manukau region made a big impact at last week's UNISS tournament held at Auckland Netball Centre.  A final list of placings is yet to be posted but the following schools had some great results:

Congratulations to:

• St Kentigern College - finished 3rd in A Grade and qualified for NZ Secondary Schools Tournament in October
• Botany Downs Secondary School - finished runners up in B Grade (they move to A Grade for 2011)
• Sancta Maria - winners in C Grade (they move to B Grade for 2011)

• B Grade Mid-courter of Tournament Stephanie Collins

• C Grade we got all three, congratulations to Isarena Chan, Rachel Cieslik & Elizabeth Ene

Secondary Schools 1-day Tournament
Netball Counties Manukau Region will be holding a Secondary Schools Netball Tournament in Term 3, details as per below.

Wednesday 11 August 2010 at Papakura Netball Centre

  Y10 Runners up: Southern Cross Campus
   
  Senior Winners: Tuakau College
  Runners up: James Cook High School

This is the first time Netball Counties Manukau Region has offer this one day tournament and we were pleased with the turn out.  All teams represented their schools well and looked very smart in their netball uniforms. Great sportsmanship both on and off the court. Thanks to the umpires, teachers in charge and coaches.

We look forward to building on this tournament in future years, with the tournament being an annual event for Counties Manukau Schools. We would like to wish all those schools competing in Upper North Island Secondary Schools (UNISS) Tournament all the best for the up coming tournament.


Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Competition
Netball Counties Manukau Region runs the Eastern Zone Secondary School competition each year. The competition runs each Wednesday night through Term 2 & 3 at Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre.
