Age Group Nationals 2010
After a tough week, Counties Manukau U17 Team can hold their heads up high with a fantastic 7 wins and 1 loss (by one), the team finished a credible 5th position and narrowly missed out on the 1-4 play-offs. Disappointed after losing by 1 to Wellington pushing them out of contention for the top play-offs the team picked themselves up and had an excellent finals day winning their last two games convincingly. To top the day off three players were named in the Tournament Team; congratulations to Stephanie Collins, Nadia Loveday and Caitlin Riedstra. And congratulations to Stacey King, one of our young umpires who was given the Final to umpire.

How can I trial for Netball Counties Manukau Teams?
To be eligible to trial your club must nominate you through your Netball Centre by the closing date each year. All players need to be aware that they will be required to pass a fitness test at the final trials.
Please note: To be eligible for any development and representative programmes (with the exclusion our NetSkills Academy), a player must be affiliated member of a netball club that plays within the Counties Manukau region.
Find out about how our Representative Programme works. ..
Netball Counties Manukau Region runs a regional high performance programme that includes Senior, U21, U19 and U17 teams that compete in their respective National Championships each year. Players are drawn from around the region to make up these representative teams.
An extensive pre season programme is put together for each age group and eligible players meet regularly prior to the teams being chosen to build their skills and fitness.
The U15/U17 development programme offered includes specialised netball sessions where players are put through their paces in the off-season with specialist coaches and guest speakers. This programme is run by the Region and players from Centre rep teams are invited each year to participate and make the final squad.
U17 Netball NZ Talent ID Programme
Each year 12 players from Counties Manukau are put forward to the intensive Netball NZ Talent ID Programme where they are given the opportunity to train with top coaches and current and former Silver Ferns and be identified by Netball NZ.
